Why You Should Increase Your Intake of Omega-3 Fatty Acids

Omega-3 is crucial for the physical and mental wellbeing of a person, especially within kids. It is known to increase concentration span as well as expand the knowledge intake. Quite often known as a brain food, and with diets being typically low in the fatty acid, it is small wonder that more and more people are buying additions for this or buying foods that are high in Omega-3.

Omega-3 is necessary for developing cell membranes, signal pathways and other neurological systems.

Folks who are dieting can benefit particularly well from Omega -3. Being on a{ reduced fat| low fat| reduced fat diet sometimes means limiting one’s self to nil fat intake, which is not good for the body. As fish is relatively low in points and fats, but very high in Omega -3, then you should include this in your diet as much as practicable.

Fatty fish is one of the main sources of Omega-3 and the giant brands have jumped at the chance to sell more products by providing the buyers ( us ) with certain items that are high in Omega-3. I.e. ‘OMEGA-3 Fish Fingers.’
Other than in these frozen foods that are well branded, there are fresh fish which are famously high in trans-acids – sardines, salmon, trout and herring. These are high in both Omega -3 and -6.
To get the maximum out of Omega-3 ( and -6 ) it is advised that you eat foods rich in it, for example the above fish, around 2-3 times per week.

Nuts and seeds are high in essential fatty acids, but do not contain the correct quantities of omega-3 or -6. Flaxseed oil contains Omega-3 , however , and so can be used as a supplement for Omega-3 rather than the fish oils.

Nothing actually compares to fatty fish for a good, balanced intake of both Omega -3 and Omega -6 but some green plants contain small amounts and so it could be worth eating a good quantity of green veggies with your mouth watering salmon or trout teas.
